Toys R Us Big Book leaked

The Toys R Us Big Book has been leaked! It's not a Black Friday ad, but it is still is a popular sales ad every holiday season.

It comes out in newspapers this sunday, Oct. 26th.

You can see it early by visiting this link!

Not too impressive, I think. Hopefully their Black Friday ad will be better.

Harbor Freight Ad leaked . . .

It was leaked the other day. You can see the ad here.
I don't have one of these stores anywhere near me, so I didn't take the time to even look at the ad, but I am glad ads are slowly starting to make their way to the internet.

Hopefully more start rolling in soon.

49 Days away!

We're now only 49 days away from Black Friday, and no ads (besides the lame Ace Hardware sample ad) have been leaked!! Most of them should be leaked within the next 2-4 weeks. We should see at least a few in the next 10 days or so, if history repeats itself as it often does. Usually the ads will start rolling in around mid October.

Come on already!! I want to see those damn ads....

Wah-Wah-Walmart!! C & D order already issued!

Walmart is on top of their game this year. They have already delivered their first Cease and Desist order to one of the more popular Black Friday sites on the web. (www.blackfriday.gottadeal.com)

You can see it here.

What a bunch of cry babies! Do they not want shoppers planning on going to their store and spending money? They should realize that most people don't sit around waiting until the week OF Black Friday to look at ads and plan on what they're going to buy, and where they're going to shop. Millions of people seek the ads that have been leaked weeks in advance and plan their Black Friday way before Thanksgiving arrives.

By issuing a C&D order, Walmart is losing shoppers. Sure, some people will shop their anyway, but some REFUSE to shop there because of it. Walmart will be issuing many more C&D orders to other sites, I'm sure, and so will other stores, but ALREADY?! The ad isn't even out yet.

The funny thing is, it doesn't change the fact that the ad WILL still be seen by people ahead of their planned release date of Nov. 24th. It's still going to be leaked.

What does Walmart have to worry about anyways? Their deals mostly consist of toasters, toys and clothes. Do they really think other stores are going to "one up" them by seeing their ad and then making their own sales even better? Yeah right.

It's not a big deal to me. I'll probably still go there on Black Friday. Will you?
What do you think about them already issuing a C&D order?

The Economy, Black Friday, and know-it-alls...

Yes, our economy is in the gutter. I'm aware of that. I'm tired of people telling me as if I don't already know.
I watched president Bush's little speech last night, but had a hard time sitting through it. Is he serious?! He made his case for war, it turned out to be lies, and now we're supposed to stand behind him as our country goes to hell? I don't want to hear a word that man says. I can't wait until he's out of office!

Things are not looking good for us at the moment. Lots of people are wondering how this will effect Black Friday sales. People who don't shop on Black Friday are wondering how us Black Friday shoppers can be so "greedy" for still wanting to shop on BF with the economy the way it is.

The know-it-alls of the world call us "freaks" for shopping on BF and going into debt.
They blame the status of the economy on people like US for racking up a huge credit card bill and not being able to pay it.

They don't know what the hell they're talking about.

People like me that shop responsibly and stay out of debt are getting a bad rap because of the real greedy people who charge everything and anything to live a certain lifestyle, knowing full well they can't afford the payments.

I pay for everything with cash. If I can't afford it, I don't get it. Simple as that. I'm happy to say I don't have bill collectors calling me constantly over a huge Visa bill that I can't pay.

As for the effect on BF sales, I don't know. The ads were printed months ago, before the economy really went downhill. The ads may or may not be changed, but I doubt they will.

Us BF shoppers are not greedy for still looking forward to BF. No one really knows what's in store for our economy, we have to take it day by day. I, for one, refuse to live in fear and panic. I will hope things start to get better, and continue to live a normal life. To you know-it-alls that want to panic and live like it's the end of the world - go ahead, have fun. Don't attack us for disagreeing with you. As messed up as this country seems to be right now, it's till FREE.

Have some respect. . . Part two

To all retail workers,

I encourage all Black Friday shoppers to treat you with respect, but I also hope YOU treat the shoppers with respect. It's a two way street. For the most part, I find store employees to be helpful, nice, and overall it is a good experience dealing with you.

However.

Last year at Kmart, I was looking for a particular item and couldn't find it. I asked an employee NICELY if she knew whether or not there was any more in stock.
She rudely said (as she turned her back and walked AWAY!) "I can't help you right now!!!!!!!!"

I was with a friend, and both of our jaws dropped. WHAT? This lady did not just do that. did she?

She sure did.

The store wasn't even that busy! It was 11 am at the time, so it's not like the store just opened or anything...

That was totally uncalled for. One of my biggest pet peeves is people who take out their anger on others. It wasn't my fault she had to work at the store. I didn't tell her to wear the stupid elf hat she had on. LOL

Whatever.

It doesn't happen ALL the time, so I've moved on. Still had a good day. Hopefully she has changed her attitude for this year.

To the people who act this way, employee or shopper, what is wrong with you?!!!!!!!!

Have some respect. . .

While I have not experienced it personally, I've heard quite a few horror stories about people getting viscious on Black Friday.
So, because there's a ton of people after the same good deals you are, that gives people the right to have no respect and lose their temper? Really? I don't get it.

Even if I was in line for 10 hours and didn't get an item I wanted, I wouldn't make a scene. I'd be really disappointed, yes, but that's not a reason to go biserk.

Store employees get swore at, innocent shoppers, too. They even get into shoving matches, fights, and some get items ripped right out of there hands. That is INSANE! I can not understand how people can act that way.

For me, Black Friday has always been a day of fun. I get up super early, get in line, shop 'til I drop, and all is good!

I hope I NEVER see a rude person snap on a fellow Black Friday shopper the way the Biggest Loser Trainer Jillian Michaels does on her contestants who don't give it their all.

Have some respect for your fellow shoppers. You're all in it for the same reason - to score some great deals, and to have a fun day. Be nice to the employees, too. Can you imagine how stressful of a day it must be for them?
